“You’re jobless because you want things easy” – Nigerian govt tells young people
The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has said the main cause of employment today is the unwillingness of youths to face challenges.
NDE boss Kunle Obayan made the comments, Tuesday, at a youth training and empowerment program in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He said young people would rather have goodies handed to them on platters of gold.
Obayan urged youths in the country to apply for the skills acquisition training the agency offers to enable them become self-reliant.
The NDE proposes to empower over 9,000 youths nationwide with the necessary skills within the space of five months. Over 360 youths began their training on Tuesday.
