Yemi Ajayi – In Memory Of Those Killed Illegally By The Nigerian Police

Yemi Ajayi, 32, was reportedly on his way to work with his cousin Kayode Atanda, on July 10, 2020, when they were shot by Police officers in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Ajayi and his Atanda were shot in their car when a team from the Agodi command tried to stop them at Iwo road. While the bullet hit Atanda in the arm, Ajayi was unlucky, the shot hit him in the stomach and he died at the spot.

Police claimed the three officers have been arrested and were being investigated but like other cases of police extra-judicial killings, the case appears to have been buried as the officers may never face trial.
