#WorkersDay: 6 Nigerian workers who cannot take the day off
It’s Workers Day 2017 and while you’re home screaming Yaaaay! to that, there are Nigerians who’re actually digging in…at work.
Here are six of the busiest.
1. Yemi Osinbajo

He’s Nigeria’s Vice President. He may not exactly be at the office in Aso Rock today but he’s working. In fact, his workload may have doubled since President Muhammadu Buhari is “working from home”.
2. That medical worker

Someone’s in hospital as we speak, and under the watchful eyes of a doctor or nurse. Some are receiving treatment at home. President Buhari probablt falls into this category.
3. The journalist

If she takes the day off, who will run the news? Who will inform you about May Day rallies holding across Nigeria? Who will do that breaking news. Who will tell you that President Buhari did not deliver Workers Day address. Trust me, no free day for him today.
4. That sex worker

Seeing is believing. Take a drive to Allen by 6:30pm today.
5. The security officer

Police is your friend. So is the soldier, and the civil defence officer. This guy cannot take the day off.
6. The self-employed

If she doesn’t work, who will? You’re probably reading this at your work station…if you fall within this category.
