Shortly after some suspected hoodlums stormed the National Assembly and made away the mace, a symbol of authority of the parliament, Senator Tayo Alasoadura went wild at his colleagues.
Alasoadura, while speaking on the floor of the house, lamented that Senators are not paying attention to why people voted them into the house, but are rather focused on what he described as ‘irrelevancies’.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who was recently suspended by the Senate for antagonising the bill proposing a re-shuffle of election sequence in the country, had been accused of causing commotion in the chamber on Wednesday.
