Watch: US general faints during press conference
Air Force Maj. Gen. James Martin passed out in the full glare of camera during a press conference on Wednesday.
The general is seen leaning forward onto the podium as colleagues rushed to help. He was then taken to another room and, later to the hospital
Gen. Martin and Carol Gleason, the Air Force deputy for budget, were discussing funding for the F-35 fighter jet program, when the general passed out.
As he was being led away from the podium, Ms Gleason joked, “That’s what an F-35 will do to you.”
The general is reportedly doing fine now.
