WATCH: Drama as poor okada rider refuses to pay LGA tax collectors
The old okada (motorcycle) rider told local government tax collectors “I no go buy your ticket”.
A witness told NewsroomNG the LGA workers usually exempt the poor man from buying tickets other operators must buy everyday.
An apparent attempt to make the old man buy ticket, Saturday morning, led to an altercation.

“I will slap you,” the man told one of the LGA tax collectors who later bragged to another witness how he would retaliate if the old mam had slapped him.
“I will call soldiers and lock him up in a guardroom. I will make his family beg. I simply asked him for his ID card and he’s overreacting,” he said.
He also threatened to seize the man’s okada. The man was later allowed to fend for himself without buying the ticket.
The incident happened at Bajulaiye Bus Stop in Somolu area of Lagos around 10am on Saturday.
