University lecturer stabbed to death at his doorstep
January 1, 2016
Jeroen Ensink, a biologist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, was stabbed to death two days to the end of 2015.
Witnesses say they saw his killer standing over Ensink’s body with a 20cm-long knife.
Although bystanders rushed to help the lecturer and paramedics also put in a shift, he was later declared dead aged 41.
Originally from the Netherlands, Ensink had been a lecturer in public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine since 2008.
He was leading a large study in the Democratic Republic of Congo to understand how improvements in water supply could control and prevent cholera outbreaks.
One Femi Nandap, 22, is currently standing trial for the murder..
