Two injured as Boko Haram set houses ablaze in midnight operation in Borno
November 15, 2018
At least two people sustained injuries as a group of Boko Haram insurgents launched an attack on Mammanti village, along Damboa road, Borno State.
The attack, according to military operatives, was carried out Wednesday midnight.
The armed insurgents were said to have shot sporadically to scare residents out of their homes before setting many houses ablaze.
Operatives of the Army were said to have successfully thwarted the insurgents’ attempt to cause more mayhem, causing them to flee. No arrest was made, neither was any of the invaders killed.
The Army said Friday morning that the injured persons had been taken to the hospital, while efforts were ongoing to restore peace in the area.
