Trump ties with Kamala Harris in latest poll
A new NBC News poll shows Republican Party Candidate, Donald Trump, and Democratic Party Candidate, Kamala Harris, tied on points going into the elections.
According to the poll, Vice-president, Harris, is no longer as popular as she was last month, with both tied at 48%.
Voters are believed to, now, be warming up to a Trump presidency.
The matter of abortion is now a major concern for voters in the forthcoming election.
There is also a significant difference between Harris and Trump among men and women.
Democratic pollster, Jeff Horwitt, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster, Bill McInturff, says, “As summer has turned to fall, any signs of momentum for Kamala Harris have stopped.”
McInturff holds that voters do not feel that the stance of Kamala Harris is any different from her predecessor, Joe Biden.
“She is asking for another term from the incumbent party,” McInturff said in regards to Harris.
“The challenge for Kamala Harris: Can she meet the moment and fill in the blanks that voters have about her?” asked Horwitt, the Democratic pollster.
“The challenge for Donald Trump: Can he make the case that the chaos and personal behavior that bothered so many about his first term will not get in the way of governing and representing America?
“The next month will tell whether the candidates can meet these challenges,” he said.
In September’s poll, Harris had led Trump by 5 points, 49% to 44%.
Observers believe the 2024 election is going to be one of the closest in the nation’s history.
