Trump Assassination Probe: Secret Service Places Agents On Leave
A number of agents with the U.S. Secret Service have now been placed on leave following the assassination attempt on Republican Party President Candidate, Donald Trump.
Trump escaped an attempt on his life while holding a rally in Pennsylvania in July 2024.
The Secret Service has since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Trump’s assassination attempt.
Sources close to the investigation reveal that, one of the agents placed on leave is the Head of the Pittsburgh field office, Kevin Rojek.
The internal affairs department of the Secret Service is determined to unravel the lapses in security in the day in a bid to avert future occurrences.
A congressional hearing into the matter is also set to begin.

The fallout from the tragic incident has forced the Secret Service. Director, Kimberly Cheatle, to bow to enormous pressure and resign from office.
Trump, despite the incident, remains unfazed and has set plans in motion to begin holding outdoor rallies once again.
Despite warnings by the Secret Service against the decision, Trump insists that he will “not hide away,” and says he trusts, fully, in the abilities of the Secret Service to provide ample security.
