TRAGIC! Wedding gift explodes, kills groom; Wife in critical condition
An Indian couple were victims of an explosion which occurred after they opened one of their wedding gifts just days after marriage.
The husband and his grandmother died, while the wife is said to be lying critically ill at the hospital.
The incident occurred at the couple’s residence in Odisha’s Bolangir district on Friday.
The elderly woman was killed on the spot while her grandson died at a hospital in Rourkela, where he had been taken after being injured in the blast.
The wife is still undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Burla.
Police are trying to identify the person that presented the gift to the couple at their reception ceremony on Wednesday.
