Tinubu meets with Macron as Nigeria, France strengthens relations

Nigeria and France have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, following a high-level meeting between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.

The discussions took place over a working lunch at the Élysée Palace, where both leaders reviewed key areas of collaboration and agreed to expand their partnership to promote mutual prosperity and global stability.

President Tinubu, who is currently on a 10-day working visit to Europe, shared details of the engagement through his official X handle, @officialABAT.

“Had a productive lunch with President Emmanuel Macron today at the Élysée Palace. We reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen our partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability,” Tinubu wrote.
