Three journalists for JFC Innovative Young Journalists Award

Organisers of the Journalists For Christ (JFC), Innovative Young Journalists Award have announced names of finalists of the awards for the year 2014.

According to the board of judges of the awards, “three finalists have emerged for the 2014 Journalists for Christ Innovative Young Journalist Award scheduled to hold in Lagos on August 22.”

The finalists for the awards were selected from entries by young journalists across the country. Meanwhile, Abiodun Alade of Vanguard Newspapers, Eniola Toluwani, The Punch newspaper and Hannah Ojo, The Nation newspaper, made the final list.

“Entries were assessed by a selection board on the basis of uniqueness of issues reported, depth of research and use of multimedia presentation. Winners will get cash awards and other media career enhancing prizes,” the organising committee revealed in Lagos on Wednesday.

The award ceremony, holding at the International Press Centre (IPC), Ogba by 12 noon, is expected to attract various categories of journalists, media trainers, student journalists and members of Journalists For Christ, Nigeria.
