Thomas Partey Charged with Five Counts of Rape and Sexual Assault

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been formally charged with multiple sexual offences by the Metropolitan Police Service, following a detailed investigation into allegations dating back several years.

In a statement released on Friday, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that it had authorised the charges after reviewing a file of evidence submitted by the police.

“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man after a file of evidence was submitted by detectives,” the statement read.

Thomas Partey, 32, of Hertfordshire, has now been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. According to investigators, the alleged offences took place between 2021 and 2022.

The charges mark a significant development in a case that has lingered in speculation for months. While Partey had previously faced public scrutiny over the allegations, this is the first time formal charges have been filed against him.
