Theft Alert! Citizen Reporter finds “stolen” bus reportedly belonging to Anambra State Ministry of Justice in the hands of “area boys” in Ogun State community

We received this information from a Citizen Reporter who wants to remain anonymous. We think the police should look into it.

Suspected Stolen Government Property

While I was taking a stroll around Abule Oko, a community in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State this afternoon (Friday), I spotted this bus.

"I took the picture secretly because I was afraid of being attacked by the area boys," the Citizen Reporter told Newsroom.

It’s obviously owned by the Anambra State government going by the plate number “AN428-E01”.

What’s strange to me about it is that the label of the office it’s designated had been scraped off.

I could still decipher the faintly showing “Ministry of Justice, Anambra State” on it anyway.

To satisfy my curiousity, I saluted the residents of the house in front of which it was parked.

They don’t look Igbo. They’re obviously Yorubas. There was obviously no ceremony preparation around there to suggest it’s a chartered bus.

What could an Anambra State Government bus with its label scrape off be doing in the hinterlands of Ogun State?

I suspect it’s a case of stolen government property about to be re-branded.

What’s your take on this?
