Teenage mother sells baby for N120,000 in Imo
The Imo State Police Command has arrested a teenage mother, Chiamaka Njoku of Umuokpo Emeabiam Owerri West, and two child traffickers for selling a baby girl for N120,000.
Chiamaka, 18, was said to have been impregnated by an unidentified man out of wedlock, which prompted her to leave her parents’ house.
She was taken in by one Okere Justice, who contacted one Franca Chukwukere, the proprietress of an illegal orphanage, Franca Gold Orphanage Lagos, where she remained until she put to bed.
After Chiamaka put to bed, the baby girl was sold out at the cost of N300,000 and the mother received N120,000 from the sum through Justice Okere.
