Following his arraignment on allegations of abuse of office, former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, has resigned his appointment as the Pro-Chancellor of FUNAAB.
Former Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe along two others were on Friday arraigned before the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta, on 18 counts, bordering on conspiracy, stealing, obtaining money by false pretences and abuse of office.
Fani-Kayode pleaded “not guilty” to the charge of N26m fraud, and the presiding judge, read out his bail conditions as being a sum of N50m and one surety in like sum.
The ongoing trial of Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki over an alleged false assets declaration has been postponed till January 2017, after a successful cross-examination of the prosecution witness.
