Suspected APC thugs allegedly attack PDP chieftain in Osun
A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Oyedele, has been reportedly attacked by some thugs suspected to be loyalists working for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to reports gathered, some PDP Chieftains and supporters allegedly came to Ward 5, Unit 17 of Alekuwodo on Monday to woo voters for PDP for Thursday’s governorship re-run election.
During the course of the campaign, some APC leaders and thugs reportedly stormed the area to campaign for votes too.
An unidentified eyewitness told Newsmen that the APC thugs came with guns and machetes, with which they reportedly attacked the PDP Chieftain, his driver and some other occupants.
The shooting caused panic among the residents of the area, as they had to flee for their lives.
According to Punch, Mr Afolabi Babawale, the Public Relation Officer for Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, when contacted said he his not in Osun State and so is not aware of the incident if the incident is true or not.
