Domestic staff admits involvement in the murder of Justice Ajumogobia’s daughter

The house help arrested in connection to the death of Chukwu, daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has confessed to being involved in the murder.

Recall that Neusroom reported that Chukwu’s body was discovered at her Parkview Estate residence in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Wednesday morning.

According to a police source who spoke to Punch, Chukwu was killed on Tuesday night with her body dragged to the gate to appear she was not murdered inside the house.

“The deceased was killed in her room, and her body was dragged to the front of the gate to make it look like she was killed on the spot. After that, all the blood stains were carefully cleaned, but still, they missed some spots. They did not clean it well because it happened at night.”

“The house help did not deny what happened. She said, ‘We do am, na we do am’, during an interrogation and everything she said tallied with the evidence on the ground.” the police source disclosed.

Chukwu’s father, Soboma Ajumogobia, is the younger brother of Odein Ajumogobia, a former Minister of State for Petroleum and former Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Her mother, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, was reinstated as a judge of the Federal High Court by the National Judicial Council (NJC) after undergoing a criminal trial that lasted for years.
