Soldier recently dismissed for impersonation, arrested for robbery in Lagos
A soldier who was recently dismissed for fleeing Maiduguri for fear of the deadly Boko Haram terrorist group, and relocating to Lagos to impersonate a Lieutenant while extorting people has been arrested again for alleged robbery.
28-year-old Emmanuel Anthony, after his dismissal, was arraigned before an Ebute Meta magistrate court in April 2018, for posing as an army lieutenant to commit a crime.
His picture was spotted online by a man who identified him as a member of the gang that snatched his Lexus SUV on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway sometime in February 2018.
The victim reported to the assistant inspector-General of police, Adams Ibrahim, at the zone 2 police command Onikan,lagos, who recalled the Akwa Ibom state indigene from court.
The zone 2 public relations officer, CSP Dolapo Badmos, said Anthony confessed to the crime and would also be charged with robbery.
