Security man “kidnaps neighbour’s daughter, 14, rapes her for 3 days”
Santana Obend, 45, will spend the next eight days inside the inglorious Kirikiri Prison, in Lagos.
The security man, who lives at 9, Ajegunle Close, Isheri, is accused of kidnapping and raping his neighbour’s 14-year-old daughter.
“He abducted his neighbour’s 14-year-old daughter for three days in his apartment and unlawfully had sexual intercourse with her several times,” prosecutors told an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
“All effort for the victim’s parents to see their daughter proved abortive until she was sighted by another neighbour in the apartment of the accused.”
Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias ordered that the accused be kept in jail before a hearing on possible bail can be heard on Septmeber 18.
Obend’s alleged crime contravened Sections 141(1) and 258(1) of the Criminal Code of Lagos State, 2011, prosecutors told the court.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
