President Buhari launches plan to “save” flailing economy
The Federal Government’s race to salvage the flailing economy will begin tomorrow, April 5, President Buhari’s spokesperson Femi Adesina has revealed.
Mr Femi Adesina said on Tuesday that the president is set launch the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan 2017-2020.
The launch, which will take place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 11am on Wednesday, is geared towards ensuring the re-revamping of the economy.
Mr Adesina says the plan will also aim to build on the successes so far recorded in tackling corruption and improving security.
“The Medium-Term ERGP, which had earlier been approved by the Federal Executive Council has amongst its broad strategic objectives, restoring sustainable, accelerated inclusive growth and development; investing in the people; and building a globally competitive economy,” the presidential spokesman added.
The present administration has come under heavy criticism for its economic policies.
