Pregnant women protest “outrageous antenatal fee” in Ondo

No fewer than 100 expectant mothers, on Thursday, protested the N25,000 antenatal care imposed on them by Ondo State government.
Calling on Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to reverse the said fee, the pregnant women said they are against what they described as “outrageous money”.
During the staged protest, the women alleged that hospital workers who claimed to be acting on orders from above, made them pay various sums, ranging from N500 to N4,000 for various reasons in the course of their ante-natal.
