POWER: 2 men in court for daring to “park and block” Kogi governor’s convoy in Abuja

In what appears to be a classic case of “do you know who I am?”, two men – Ahmed Abdullahi and Nura Musa – are facing court judgment for daring to block Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello’s convoy in Abuja.

The court heard, today, that Abdullahi and Musa’s offence occurred on February 24 at Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, when they “unlawfully” parked their car and blocked the road.

They had sat unconcerned as Governor Bello’s convoy approached, the prosecutor alleged.

The prosecutor also alleged that a bottle of codeine was found in Abdullahi and Musa’s car after Governor Bello’s security details was alighted to arrest them.

Both men have been accusing of constituting public nuisance. The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 183 of the Penal Code.

Abdullahi and Musa pleaded not guilty.
