Police recruitment: 10,000 applicants to take lie detector test
In addition to every other test they would have undergone, the 10,000 persons trying to join the ranks of the Nigerian Police will take a lie detector test.
The Inspector General of Police IGP Ibrahim K. Idris gave this directive while reviewing the recruitment exercise so far.
According to him, the test is aimed at ensuring that candidates are not of questionable character and their behaviour conform with standard rules of behaviour expected of an officer to be recruited into the Force.
The IGP said that no candidate would be admitted for training at the Police academy and colleges without undergoing these prescribed tests.
He also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in recruiting the 10,000 personnel.
The test will be in addition to the general background check, biometrics, medical, physical examination, aptitude, oral and psychological tests..
