“Police open fire on Lagos mob for blocking arrest of alleged gangsters”

Police bullets reportedly hit two civilians in Ikorodu area of Lagos this morning while a mob reportedly tried to prevent the arrest of alleged gangsters.

The incident happened around 9am in Oni-Ogunsanya Street, Olomomeje Mosque Area, Aga in Ikorodu.

“A suspected Badoo gang member has been arrested by the Vigilante Group of Ikorodu popularly known as the Onyabo,” Ikorodu Ambassadors Group shared on Facebook.

“The general public are preventing the Police, SARS and the Vigilante from taking the suspect away. They are challenging them.

Badoo gangsters have, in recent time, been terrorising some parts of Ikorodu. Residents are pushing back by empowering vigilantes who also work with police to arrest the trend.
