Police Denies Claims of Explosives Near Trump Rally
Nassau County Police has allayed fears of the existence of explosive devices near Trump rally after it conducted an investigation over the safety concerns raised.
This development comes as Trump supporters gather at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island hours before Republican Party candidate, Donald Trump’s rally on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson confirmed that “there was a suspicious occurrence,” but that “there is no validity to a report that there was an explosive device found.”
Eyewitnesses say that the rally site perimeter was breached and a blue barrel was removed.
While a man was seen running away, no one could tell if he had any explosives on him, a source said.
This is even as there were unconfirmed reports of explosives found in a car near the site.

Officials of the Secret Service have rubbished this report, while assuring the public of their safety at the rally which kicks off at 7pm.
Only days ago, a suspected assassin was arrested for stalking Trump with a rifle while he played golf at his Palm Beach club.
The suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh, has since been charged.
Security agencies remain on high alert even as fears heighten after several attempts on the life of the ex-President.
