PHOTOS: Fear, as 40ft Container hangs dangerously on Lagos road

A trailer with a 40-ft container which has lost its balance dangerously occupies a section of the road at Leventis corridor outward Apapa.

Citizens’ cries for the government to check the menace caused by trucks remain unanswered.

One of Lagos governorship candidates, Babatunde Badamosi said on Sunday night, while answering to a question on his solution to the Apapa eyesore, said he would ensure the construction of an effective rail system.

Here’s what Badamosi said:

Lagos currently runs on an old rail system, with one of the rail lines causing a mishap at the Mangoro area of the state last week. Many commuters were injured when a train derailed from the tracks.

Container trucks continue to cause unnecessary loss of lives, while law enforcement seem to be incapable of sanctioning offenders.
