Pastor Ashimolowo comes for Daddy Freeze over controversial tithing debate
Controversial tithing debate that has so far been established in the religious sector of the Nigerian society, has again resurfaced as Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo indirectly called out Daddy Freeze.
In a newly-released video, Ashimolowo, the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre in London, while addressing his congregation said there is need to talk about tithing which has since been regarded as a Brouhaha between Nigerian pastors and member of the public.
Ashimolowo said, “some bunch of ‘yoyo’ somewhere should not determine what we should believe.” In what seems to be an indirect attack on Freeze continued, “Some guys who beat his wife, who throws her out, who throws his children out, who broke his son’s kneels while trying to defend his mother, he drinks alcohol, sleeps with women and he’s trying to preach to preachers.”
Freeze, who describes himself as the convener of #FreeTheSheeple Movement, has however reacted to Ashimolowo’s claims.
Sharing the video on his Instagram page, Freeze stressed that Ashimolowo was only defending tithing with just sentiments and emotions.
