Our detention facilities are the best in Nigeria – EFCC
All reports likening detention in Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, facilities to being held in dungeons are false.
Acting Chairman of the commission, Ibrahim Magu, made this assertion while taking a group of journalists on tour of the facilities on Thursday.
According to a statement from the commission, the EFCC’s holding facilities are the best of all law enforcement and security agencies in Nigeria.
And that’s why may suspects beg judges to remand them in EFCC cells, it added.
“If anyone of you think all these have been arranged, you are welcome to come at anytime you chose, to spend time with us,” Magu told the journalists.
“You don’t need to give us prior notice of your coming. You can even arrange it as a group of reporters if you don’t want to come alone,” he added.
