Old woman gifts President Buhari live goat in gratitude for his “passion to liberate the masses”

An elderly woman has been so impressed with the President of the Federal Republic, Muhammadu Buhari, she made it a duty to express her gratitude by giving him a live goat in Edo State.

Egbon Grace, a member of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 7, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State., reportedly made her way through a thick crowd to deliver her special gift as Buhari made to leave Benin City on Monday.

Buhari had been on a visit to Benin to inaugurate the ultra-modern Samuel Ogbemudia College, and it only took outgoing state governor, Adams Oshiomole’s intervention to allow Grace have her wish to appreciate Buhari’s “selfless lifestyle and passion to liberate the masses.”

According to PUNCH, a government official told journalists on the condition of anonymity on Wednesday that “Lady Grace braced the odds and came all the way with her surprise gift to Mr. President which she had kept in waiting for the special occasion.

“She tore through the thick crowd, making her way straight to the President who at the time had finished the official engagement and was heading for his waiting car,” the source said.

“Many in the crowd got emotional seeing the elderly lady pull through the crowd with the goat, determined to make a presentation to the President.”

Oshiomole reportedly alighted from the President’s convoy to receive the goat on behalf of Buhari and Egbon Grace’s selfless gesture was rewarded with a brief opportunity to interact with both men.
