Octogenarian dies in house fire
The elderly man was found unresponsive on the first floor of a burning house in Ripplevale Road, Islington, North London on Sunday.
The man, who was in his 80s, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Fire crews were called shortly after midnight and had the blaze under control by about 1.50am, Evening Standard reports.
Police say an inquiry has been opened to find out the cause of the fire.
No arrest has been made..
