Nigerians Fume Over The Allocation Of N37bn For N’Assembly Complex Renovation
December 18, 2019
Many Nigerians are outraged over the allocation of N37 billion for the renovation of the National Assembly complex despite the deplorable state of roads and other infrastructure across the country.
In contrast, the government allocated only N48 billion for Education and just N46 billion for health in the 2020 budget. The disparity in funding appears all the more appalling given that the government is borrowing a large chunk of money to fund the project.
The neglect for the critical sectors that affect ordinary Nigerians in favour of spending the huge amount of money for renovating the complex that was built with N7 billion unnerved a lot of people.
