Nigerian Military thwarts suspected attack, kills three female suicide bombers in Maiduguri

Our military continues in its strife to protect Nigerians from Boko Haram by successfully thwarting a suspected suicide attack in Maiduguri at the early hours of Friday, November 11.

Channels TV reports that the Nigerian Army shot down three suspected female suicide bombers who were sighted around 5a.m in Umulari village, along Maiduguri/Damboa road, near Mulai.

Victor Isuku, spokesman for the Borno command of the force, explained in a statement that the military patrol team killed the three women after it was evident they had Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) strapped to their bodies.

The IED on two of them reportedly exploded when the army shot at them, killing all three on the spot.

The army recently buried and mourned one of its most gallant soldiers, Late Lt. Muhammed Abu-Ali after he fell victim to an ambush by the terrorist sect barely a week ago.

More triumphs have been recorded over the sect in recent times, and the government continues its attempt to bring back home the remaining Chibok girls.
