Naval officer “strips, assaults woman” over wife’s disappearance from home
A Naval Commodore, Gbenga Oyesotan is facing a N100 million lawsuit for assaulting a woman identified as Mrs Adesanmi whom he accused of colluding with his wife to flee her matrimonial home.
Oyesotan was allegedly in the habit of subjecting his wife to domestic abuse, prompting her to flee their home.
The officer would later storm a beauty salon of the Ajayi Adesanmis at Ilupeju Rd, Oluyole Extension Ibadan, Oyo state, demanding from Mrs Adesanmi the whereabouts of his estranged wife and children.
He allegedly ordered other naval ratings to strip the woman naked and beat her up.
An unsatisfied Oyesotan allegedly abducted the poor woman, took her to his naval base and continued to torture her.
The Joint Legal Action Aids group has now filed a N100 million law suit against Oyesotan for the alleged assault of Adesanmi.
