Musa Directs Armed Forces to Kill Terrorists Immediately
Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has ordered military personnel to immediately confront and eliminate bandits and terrorists during operations, emphasizing that any hesitation will be completely unacceptable.
The mandate was delivered on Wednesday in Sokoto, where General Musa inaugurated 62 armored vehicles and 320 motorcycles provided by the Sokoto State Government to enhance local security operations and combat criminality.
He stressed that troops stationed in conflict zones must act decisively against armed threats without waiting for additional authorization. Furthermore, he warned that any security operative who hesitates or fails to engage these criminals will be viewed as a collaborator in their illegal activities.
“I want to reiterate this to all members of the armed forces and security forces. Once you are deployed, do not wait for any order from anybody to shoot any bandit or any terrorist,” Musa said.
“I want to make that very loud and clear. Anybody who refuses to shoot or kill any bandit or terrorist in the name of he is waiting for an order, we will treat you like a bandit.
He also urged personnel responsible for operating the equipment to ensure proper maintenance and effective use of the equipment.
“The federal government, the state government, the local government and indeed Nigerian taxpayers’ money is what is used to buy these equipment.
“And they are bought so that you can take down anybody who is trying to cause mayhem wherever he is. So it is your responsibility to ensure that you take him down, not to allow him take you down.”
Musa said the Federal Government remains committed to strengthening security across the country through improved logistics and sustained military operations against terrorists and bandits.
