MTN MIP Fellows Spark Innovation and Gain Mentorship at Inaugural Hackathon
Putting theory into practice, Fellows from the MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) Cohort 3 engaged in the inaugural MIP Hackathon at MTN Plaza, Falomo, Ikoyi.
This event served as a dynamic showcase of innovation and a crucial mentorship opportunity, core tenets of the six-month fellowship.
The MIP, a collaboration between MTN Nigeria and Pan-Atlantic University, aims to equip media practitioners with skills for Nigeria’s evolving media landscape. The hackathon provided a unique platform for Fellows Nifemi Oguntoye, Ebunoluwa Dosunmu, Moninkanola Ogidan, and Anthony Obakeye to apply their learning.

They collaborated directly with MTN Nigeria managers from key sectors like Lifestyle, Music, Gaming, Partnerships, and Ecosystem Development. This interaction offered invaluable mentorship, with managers including Modestus Duru, Joshua Esiebo, Ndifreke Okon, Chioma Nwobu, Esther Odo, and Wallace Omobhude sharing industry insights and guidance.
Focused discussions centred on exploring cutting-edge solutions and strategies for Nigeria’s future.
The hackathon underscored the MIP’s commitment to fostering not just innovative ideas but also the practical application and mentorship needed to drive sustainable development in the nation’s media and creative ecosystem.
