Monday Morning Rush: At least 4 confirmed dead in accidents in Lagos
No fewer than four persons have unfortunately lost their lives in different accidents in some parts of Lagos this Monday morning.
A hit-and-run accident on Eko Bridge led to the death of a motorcycle rider, after he was hit by a speeding vehicle while riding against traffic.
Several motorcycles were reportedly taking ‘one way’ on the bridge when the accident occurred. Emergency operatives were alerted to evacuate the body from the scene.
Another ugly incident at Fruit Market in Iyana-Iba area of the state led to the death of three. A car which lost its brake had rammed into traders at the market.
Onlookers who witnessed the accident immediately engaged in mob action, setting the car ablaze.
Police operatives have arrived the scene to calm the situation, while the bodies are being evacuated.
Traffic operatives in the state have advised motorists and commuters to be extremely cautious on the roads.
