Mentally deranged man enters Ogun school, hacks 2 kindergarten pupils to death
A mentally deranged man identified as Lekan Adebisi has allegedly hacked two pupils to death within the school compound at Saint John’s Anglican Primary School, Agodo, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Adebisi was said to have stormed the school premises around 11:15 a.m on Monday during lunch break and killed the kindergarten pupils who were on the field playing.
The two pupils killed were identified as Mubarak Kalesowo and Sunday Obituyi, aged three and four.
Adebisi was said to have run away from the scene of the incident immediately he killed the pupils.
Parents whose children attend the school reportedly ran to take their children home after they got wind of the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident.
He disclosed that Police are already searching for the suspect who is still at large. He also made it known that security personnel have been deployed to the area.
“The incident happened at 11:15 a.m. during lunch break. They (pupils) were on the field playing.
“The suspect emerged from the bush and hacked two of the piupils to death and immediately after ran away.
“Those who know suspect said he is a madman and also an indigene of that place,” he said.
