Man stabbed to death “for dating wrong girl”
A young Nigerian was allegedly killed after ignoring repeated warnings to ditch his girlfriend.
Ese Uku, reports say, was interested in Matthew Iyede’s heartthrob who is not being named. He reportedly warned Iyede to steer clear of the girl or face dire consequences.

After the 25-year-old refused to back out of the relationship, Uku and two other men allegedly ambushed and stabbed him multiple times.
Southern City News reported Iyede died from injuries he sustained on his chest.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning at the popular Blue Sea Restaurant and Bar, in Eku near Delta State University Abraka.
Victor, the victim’s brother reportedly confirmed the killing to the medium already referenced in this report.
His words:
“He was stabbed at a plaza close to Eku Town Hall. He was stabbed over a ‘girl’. Those involved are at large. Names of the suspected murderers have been submitted to the police.”
State police spokesperson Celestina Kalu also confirmed the incident.
“The vigilante group in collaboration with the police arrested two suspects in connection with the case,” Kalu said.
“The names of the suspects are Kevwe Edward, 21, and Lucky Gran, 19. The suspects will be transferred to SCIIDC for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.”
Iyede’s body was deposited at Eku General Hospital pending further investigation by the police, Kalu said.
Uku is on the run.
