Man “murders” own mother after stealing her bicycle
A 26 year old Malawian man is in police custody for allegedly killing his biological mother who rebuked him for stealing.
According to the police, Sanudi Bonongwe, stole a bicycle belonging to his mother after earlier stealing one belonging to another villager.
Expectedly, his mother was not happy with the development and she wanted him arrested unless he brought back both bicycles.
Sanudi allegedly killed the woman that night by suffocating her. He then left her half naked in his boys’ quarters.
The body was found after another villager followed the trail of a lost chicken to Sanudi’s house and forced open the door.
A police spokesman said Sanudi is being prepared for trial..
