June 26, 2018
Mohammed Gobir, a 55-year-old Kwara State native and his company Mondial Defence Systems Limited, were dragged before the Ikeja High Court on Monday for allegedly stealing N227 million from the Kwara State government.
Gobir is facing a five count charge bordering on stealing, dishonesty, and forgery.
He allegedly converted monies entrusted to him for the purchase of three units of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) by the Kwara State government for personal use.
Gobir, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Justice Oyefeso ordered the prosecution to serve the defense counsel with the necessary documents.
She thereafter adjourned the case to September 13, 2018 for continuation of trial.
