Mace Theft: Police, Senators may have been bamboozled with charms
Nigerians, yesterday, wondered how relatively easy it was for suspected thugs to beat all security protocols at the National Assembly and make away with the mace, unchallenged.
The police seem to now have a defense – that the suspected hoodlums’ attack was not with ‘ordinary eye’.
Police earlier announced the arrest of the suspects, adding that the mace was recovered under the flyover before Abuja city gate where it was abandoned.
They have said charms and other items were recovered from the suspects who were arrested in connection with the mace theft.
The suspects would be charged to court after investigations.
