Liverpool Trash Manchester United In One-Sided EPL Encounter

Liverpool Trash Manchester United

Liverpool dominated Manchester United from start to finish in a thoroughly convincing victory on Sunday evening.

The Reds ventually ran out 3-0 winners away from home at Old Trafford.

A brace from Luis Diaz and Mo Salah sealed the deal as United rue a disastrous start to the new English Premier League campaign.

Head Coach Arne Slot was delighted when his troops took a very early lead in the 7th minute, through Trent Alexander Arnold, only for VAR to chalk the goal off, Salah adjudged to have been offside in the build-up.

The setback did not, in any way, perturb the Reds as they charged at United again, throwing everything at their goal.

Manchester United held strong, though shaky, for over 30minutes of the game.

Liverpool eventually got the game’s opener through Luis Diaz, Salah, Creator-in-Chief in the 35th minute.

Minutes later, it appeared Mo Salah and Diaz were hellbent on wrecking havoc on the United goal and they soon combined again for Liverpool’s second, Salah, again, creating the goal for Diaz’ second.

Manchester United held on for dear life in the closing embers of the game to see out the score at only 2-0.

Credit to United in the second 45 as they came out in a desperate bid to pull one back at the very least, but that only served to create holes at the back.

Mo Salah was on hand to punish the Red Devils in the 56th minute, latching on to a well threaded pass by Szoboszlai to slot home a left-footed strike past the helpless Onana in goal for the home side.

United did their best to make the score respectable, Lisandro Martinez, in the 73rd minute, trying an audacious bicycle-kick that flew wide off the Liverpool goal for a goalkick.

New signing, Zirkzee, should have scored in the 78th minute, but, instead, missed a sitter in front of goal.

Liverpool managed the rest of the game and went home worthy winners, 3-0.

The win means Liverpool have a hundred percent start to the new EPL campaign.

It becomes even more laudable given that the Reds are yet to concede a single goal this season as they look to wrestle the title from current holders, Manchester City.
