Legislative aide slumps and dies at entrance of National Assembly

A senior legislative aide identified as Abubakar Sani has reportedly slumped and died at the entrance of the National Assembly today.

Upon his collapse, Sani who is said to be an aide to the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, Mr. Babangida Ibrahim, was immediately attended to by medical personnel at the National Assembly but efforts to resuscitate him proved unsuccessful, PUNCH reports.

The publication gathered that the aide, a Grade Level 16 worker, was just on his way to the National Assembly clinic to obtain a pass for medical services when he collapsed.
