Lagos: Mother in grief after two children die in early morning fire
A mother is still lost in grief after her two children died in an early morning fire, Tuesday morning, in Lagos.
The fire incident at 7, Ifelodun close, Aralamo bus stop in the Ipaja area of the state reportedly started while occupants were still fast asleep.
Although concerned neighbours made concerted efforts to put the blaze out, they were able to save next to nothing.
Fire fighters were reportedly not invited on time.
Lagos State Fire Service Director, Razak Fadipe, said the fire was well alight by the time his men got to the scene.
Fadipe said residents in the area were hostile to his men, so they could not gather much information.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained..
