Kano House of Assembly summons Jafar Jafar over Ganduje bribery scandal
Jafar Jafar, the Daily Nigerian newspaper journalist who released videos of Kano governor, Abdullahi Ganduje allegedly receiving bribe from contractors, has been summoned by the state House of Assembly.
Jafar is expected to make an appearance before the lawmakers on Thursday, 26th of October.
He had said he has about fifteen videos implicating the governor.
The state House of Assembly said the hearings will be public and Jafar will be “asked to talk through [his] recollections of the incidents” and also be given opportunity to offer his perspective, tender exhibits and ask questions.
Governor Ganduje has called the videos cloned and an attempt to blackmail him by the journalist.
