Kaduna: 16 passengers die in road accidents, many others injured

A total of 16 persons have been confirmed in separate road accidents in Mani and Kankia Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
The Federal Road Safety Commission confirmed that the accidents occurred on Wednesday night.
Alhaji Abdu Bagadawa, the agency’s Commander in the state, said the first accident occurred on Mani-Katsina road, killing nine passengers and leaving nine others injured.
“The other accident occurred on Kano-Katsina road at Fanga village in Kankia, killing seven passengers and leaving 13 others with various degrees of injuries,” Bagadawa told NAN.
He said that the corpses and injured persons had been taken to the General Hospitals in Mani and Kankia.
