Veteran playwright, Professor Akinwunmi Isola has died aged 79.
Prof Isola was a culture activist, scholar and actor. He was born in Ibadan in 1939.
He was appointed Professor at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 1991 following academic works.
He is popular for his literary works, mostly written in Yoruba language.
Some of his popular works are: Ó Le Kú, Efúnṣetán Aníwúra, Iyálóde Ìbàdàn, and Tinúubú, Ìyálóde Ẹgbá.
