Alhaji Ahmadu Chanchangi, the chairman of Chanchangi Airlines, has died on Wednesday morning.
Chanchangi, according to a family source, died along Kaduna-Abuja road while on the way to a hospital in Abuja.
“He died along the road while we were rushing him to a hospital in Abuja, after a protracted illness,” the family source said.
He will be buried by 2pm today (Wednesday) according to Islamic rights at the Bashama road cemetery.
Deputy Senate leader, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah had paid a condolence visit to the family, according to reports.
Chanchangi Airlines is a privately owned and operated airline with its head office in Kaduna.
The airline suspended all flights in 2012, following several charges against its mode of operation.
